We Can't Be Friends

I know we said we wouldn't do this
We wouldn't go there anymore
Empty bottles on the nightstand
All the covers on the floor
But here we are again
On a Sunday morning
We pretend it didn't happen
I grab my bag and head out the door
This is why you can't call me up
This is why we can't be alone
This is why we can't drink wine
'Cause when I'm with you I can't say no
We said that we wouldn't know that we shouldn't
'Cause this is how it always ends
Baby this is why we can't be friends
Yeah we really had some good times
'Til it all went wrong
Now we're pretty good liars
When we say we've moved on
But like any old cliche
When you look at me that way
We're right back to kissing goodbye inhibitions
So much for being strong
This is why you can't call me up
This is why we can't be alone
This is why we can't drink wine
'Cause when I'm with you I can't say no
We said that we wouldn't know that we shouldn't
'Cause this is how it always ends
Baby this is why we can't be friends
Oh ooh
Oh
This is why you can't call me up
This is why we can't be alone
This is why we can't drink wine
'Cause when I'm with you I can't say no
We said that we wouldn't know that we shouldn't
'Cause this is how it always ends
Baby this is why we can't be friends
Baby this is why we can't be friends
Oh we can't be we can't be
We can't be friend friends
