I'm sick with him for how
He plays a game before the kill
Experiments of will
He looks as though to say
It's a nature not a fault
But I have tried that trick myself
As I put someone through hell
It doesn't change the putrid or the pain
So maybe it's deserved
His body's breaking young
I'm still sad to get the news
Even if it's just
Morning at the vet
And she pinched the pinch of death

Why it hurt so bad
To hold and watch the monster fade away
