0:06I used to talk to my kids about Jesus
0:13The same way that my mom and daddy did
0:19I used to talk to my kids about Jesus
0:26Now I talk to Jesus 'bout my kids
0:33When they're born, you dive right in
0:36Trying like hell to get 'em born again
0:39Pull out them Bible stories, then you stumble your way through
0:46You do your best to steer 'em straight
0:49Tell 'em 'bout who He is and ain't
0:53And answer all their questions
0:57Even though you've got some too
0:59I used to talk to my kids about Jesus
1:04How He lived and died and rose again
1:10I used to talk to my kids about Jesus
1:17Now I talk to Jesus 'bout my kids
1:24You lose your grip the more they grow
1:27They won't listen 'cause they think they know
1:30And you watch 'em going down a dead-end road
1:33And you can't stop 'em
1:36Lord, please watch 'em
1:39I used to talk to my kids about Jesus
1:46Pray they'd find Him sooner than I did
1:52I used to talk to my kids about Jesus
1:58Now I talk to Jesus 'bout my kids
2:05Guide 'em as they go
2:08'Cause if anyone does, You know
2:11Along the straight and narrow
2:14All the places they could fall
2:17I used to talk to my kids about Jesus
2:24He knew and loved 'em long before I did
2:30I used to talk to my kids about Jesus
2:37Now I talk to Jesus 'bout my kids
2:43I used to talk to my kids about Jesus
2:50Now I talk to Jesus 'bout my kids
I used to talk to my kids about Jesus The same way that my mom and daddy did I used to talk to my kids about Jesus Now I talk to Jesus 'bout my kids When they're born, you dive right in Trying like hell to get 'em born again Pull out them Bible stories, then you stumble your way through You do your best to steer 'em straight Tell 'em 'bout who He is and ain't And answer all their questions Even though you've got some too I used to talk to my kids about Jesus How He lived and died and rose again I used to talk to my kids about Jesus Now I talk to Jesus 'bout my kids You lose your grip the more they grow They won't listen 'cause they think they know And you watch 'em going down a dead-end road And you can't stop 'em Lord, please watch 'em I used to talk to my kids about Jesus Pray they'd find Him sooner than I did I used to talk to my kids about Jesus Now I talk to Jesus 'bout my kids Guide 'em as they go 'Cause if anyone does, You know Along the straight and narrow All the places they could fall I used to talk to my kids about Jesus He knew and loved 'em long before I did I used to talk to my kids about Jesus Now I talk to Jesus 'bout my kids I used to talk to my kids about Jesus Now I talk to Jesus 'bout my kids
