Christmas Dream

December is funny the feelings it brings
I call my December emotions my Christmas mood swings
I find myself thinking of times that went by
This Christmas movie of my childhood repeats in my mind
My favourite scenes is always with them
Where there will be snow
And a house on a hill
Where I would go sleigh riding until my grandfather
Calls me back in
If I could return
I'd turn back the time
To when I was seven years old
And where "safe" was my grandmothers arms
In my memory that moment will be
My favourite Christmas dream
The smell of the kitchen Elvis Presley tunes
My sticky hands holding her warm ones dancing round and round the room
December nostalgia always takes me back
My grandparents house is the center of my Christmas past
My favourite scenes are always with them
Where there will be snow
And a house on a hill
Where I would go sleigh riding until my grandfather
Calls me back in
If I could return
I'd turn back the time
To when I was seven years old
And where safe was my grandmothers arms
In my memory that moment will be
My favourite Christmas dream
In my memory that moment will be
My favourite Christmas dream
