Katla (feat. Abby Gundersen)

It's the epilogue of the sequel to the first
And that feeling kicks in when you know you're gonna have to start over
I climbed another mountainbut stopped short of the grave
And turned to look around at Iceland's mighty face
Katla could erupt while I'm sleeping
It would be over, happen over quick
If this is really all that I get
It's a photograph from another endless day
Taken by a former stranger who just ended up my way
She just moved back to the island where she was born and raised
After some years in the city she was home to be amazed
Katla could erupt while she's sleeping tonight
Don't stop fearing the volcano 'cause it's covered in ice
Don't let the edge off 'cause you'll feel sad for life
Ooh, ah
The kitchens all closed before I got there
I don't know where to go, I'm living off the air
There's birds outside singing to the land
Teaching them no matter what, you'll never trust a man
I'm scared to go home, I'm scared where I am
On the side of some road with a guitar in my hand
I'm working on safe, I'm working on plain
Life is just a just-into the dealer's latest hand
