A Matter of Time

Never so them plan it but a we a run the planet
Babylon want fi ban it so me stash it inna the bonnet
Scent them couldn't stand it no them couldn't overstand it
And them quick fi panic when them see we coming for it
Long time now them have it so them relaxed in the habit
Asked for it politely but right now we a go grab it
Even if you put me with the crabs inna the barrel
Shell the whole a dem and them
Step out a drink me sorrel
Reach fi me seat so see it every season
When you are a believer
Don't finch for any reason
Not now then when
Not me then who
Man love talk but refuse to do
Well if you seek you find
But never you cheat the line
'Cause it goin' take all of you trying
To make something out of your life
So whenever you see me shine
The blessings that I receive divine
And I got to get what's mine
It's only a matter of time
Time time time time
Only when you prepare shall it appear for you
The universe sincere she taking care of you
So if you doing what you can
And you going with a plan
You have no reason to ever live in fear do you
'Cause that's the worse type of living I can tell you
Put you pon a level make you start fi doubt yourself
The thoughts about regrets the what if the shoulda could
I living in the present that is forever my mood
To them gatekeepers who want keep it closed so
Watch me come through and bulldoze you
And plotting them down too
Naa stop until a rubble in the streets
If you nuh want no trouble
Then nuh bother trouble me
Well if you seek you find
But never you cheat the line
'Cause it goin' take all of you trying
To make something out of your life
Life life life
So whenever you see me shine
The blessings that I receive divine
And I got to get what's mine
It's only a matter of time
Time time time time
Yeah
Middle of Mexico at midnight
On account of all the things that I did right
Many lyrics that I did write
Was just insight
Who knew these minds it would ignite
It looked right from the shift that I did sight
I took flight from the spliff that I did light
Heights lyrics and riddim dem a fit right
Christ 'til one get high coodeh fist fight
Inna battle with all parts of my brain
Like the ones that hit I never thought of again
More responsible I said I ought to have been
Call the constable or call Hawkeye again
And lawd Diggy them hang on by a string
When man hear dem tune ya man goin' want buy a tin
And watch the talk man a laugh I a grin
I have been a part of it start of the thing
Well if you seek you find
But never you cheat the line
'Cause it goin' take all of you trying
To make something out of your life
So whenever you see me shine
The blessings that I receive divine
And I got to get what's mine
It's only a matter of time
Time time time time
