0:01Grab a hold of yourself open your eyes
0:03Get wise to the exercise
0:05Being taught by the teacher that's most dominant
0:08You need knowledge
0:09Well I'm dropping it
0:11Listen to the rap allow it to trap
0:13Your body and soul so that you can adapt
0:15To the man on display as I take you away
0:18So may i
0:19Yes you may
0:21Proud to be a black man
0:22Coming exact and
0:23Giving up to brothers five on the back hand
0:26Pray for lease and peace upon each other
0:28With my sisters and brothers
0:29Yo word to the mother
0:31I say the mother as in the motherland
0:33But on the other hand another man
0:35Tackled and shackled our ancestors
0:36But we beat him with freedom so let's bless the
0:40Country that we all came from
0:42Because the moral of it all is we shall overcome
0:45The cream will keep rising
0:47We be sizing
0:48Up the asiatic one is enterprising
0:50Building and building to carry on
0:52All the way from malcolm x to farrakhan
0:55Martin luther was a tutor many were pupils
0:57Those who fell victim were those without scruples
1:00However to sever we could never
1:03So hold up the peace sign and stand together
1:05Take heed to the words that I manifest
1:07And when I'm through speaking marley marl'll do the rest
1:09Break
1:10People people
1:11We gotta get over before we go under
1:21We gotta get over before we go under
1:27Let's get together
1:33Let's get together
1:45Yo big daddy what you gonna say now
1:50Take a stand the fight for power
1:52Cause we've been here before the mayflower
1:55Living superior abiding by nature
1:57The history of the asiatic one paid the
2:00Price to be paid in slavery
2:02Like the name of antonio was gave to me
2:04But knowledge of self broke every shackle and chain
2:07Now I declare myself as the big daddy kane
2:09The teacher teaching a lesson to be heard
2:12That's word to the mother my brother
2:14So discover the truth of one another
2:17Cause here's the real deal upon our skin color
2:20Lay down white yellow red or pink
2:22But the color of black is most dominant
2:24The rising and sizing can never cease
2:26What you going say now
2:28Peace
2:30The mother of all living things and the black man
2:34Is the original man we just can't escape our destiny
2:38Word to the mother
2:49Word to the mother
2:50I thank allah for allowing me to teach this subject today
2:53Yeah that's right
